Thank you for your interest in the Drexel University School of Public Health. We invite you to submit your application for submission, and please see the information below for the necessary support documentation required for each program. If you have any questions concerning your admissions application, our admissions office personnel are ready to assist you.
Application Pre-Requisites
- Satisfactorily completed an undergraduate bachelor degree program in an accredited U.S. college or university, or its equivalent in another country.
- A course in Statistics is highly recommended.
- Six undergraduate or graduate credits in the social or behavioral sciences and three in the biological sciences are preferred.
- Satisfactory results from one of the following taken within the past five years (the GRE or GMAT is preferred):
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
- Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
- Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
For applicants educated abroad and/or whose native language is not English
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all international applicants whose first language is not English.
- Transcript Evaluation, course by course (World Education Services).
- Declaration and certification of finances, or affidavit of support.
Application Process & Deadlines
Applying for enrollment in the School of Public Health is a two step process: 1) fill out an application form; 2) provide the necessary supporting documentation.
Application for the school's full-time Master of Public Health program is to be made through SOPHAS.
Applications for all other programs offered by the School of Public Health can be completed through the Drexel’s University print or online application form only.
The application includes an essay question on the following topic: Describe your perception of pressing public health issues, why a career in the field is appealing, and how a public health career will utilize your strengths.

Deadlines
All admissions are for fall semesters only. The application deadlines for each academic program are:
- Master of Public Health (Fulltime program): No deadline. Applications under continuous review.
- Master of Public Health (Executive Program): No deadline. Applications under continuous review.
- Master of Science in Biostatistics: Applications currently being accepted for fall 2008 semester.
- Doctor of Public Health (DrPH): March 15, 2008
- Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology (PhD): Applications currently being accepted for fall 2008 semester.
- Joint Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health (MD/MPH): No deadline. Applications under continuous review.
- Certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics: No deadline. Applications under continuous review.
MD/MPH Program Applicants
Applicants to the joint MD/MPH must be accepted both to the Drexel University College of Medicine and the School of Public Health.
