Full or Associate Professor, Dept. of Community Health and Prevention, Drexel University School of Public Health

The Drexel University School of Public Health invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor or Professor in the Department of Community Health and Prevention beginning July 1, 2009.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will hold a DrPH, PHD, ScD, MD/MPH, or an equivalent doctoral degree with public health experience, and at least five years of teaching experience at the assistant or associate professor level. Candidates must show evidence of effective teaching and supervision of students, along with a significant record of grant funding and peer-reviewed publications. Ideal candidates will be experienced in problem-based learning, community-based and collaborative applied research, and integrating technology in teaching. Candidates with active federally funded research and an interest in working in diverse professional environments are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include collaborating with peers to grow the school’s DrPH and masters programs in community health and prevention, as well as mentoring of junior faculty. The position requires service on school and university committees, and contributions to the public health profession across the Delaware Valley and nation.
