ICF International is seeking to hire candidates with demonstrated experience in the area of Public Health preparedness and response planning support. Candidates will be working full-time on site at a health department in a National Capital Region (NCR) jurisdiction. They must have access to transportation and agree to live near and work on site in and around the NCR. Candidates will be working independently to update, complete and make ready for operation multiple jurisdictional public health plans that meet the national standards of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NAACHO) Project Public Health Ready (PPHR). The preferred candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health or related, emergency services, health or medical field;
- Six-plus years of practical public health emergency preparedness and response planning experience (EP&R) (e.g., mass patient care and public health surge, mass prophylaxis and immunization, environmental health and surety, mass fatality);
- Self motivated, work independently, and have excellent writing and oral skills;
- Must have a well established expertise in emergency preparedness plan development;
- Working knowledge of the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) and other key public health preparedness activities and initiatives;
- Experience working collaboratively with other local and state public health jurisdictions;
- Experience in developing integrated medical and public health delivery system in emergency preparedness and response activities;
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and have ability to prioritize and multi-task.
