POSITION TITLE: Senior Statistician
BASIC SALARY: $69,950 to $111,467 per year -- Final compensation will be based on individual salary history, work experience, and educational background.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: One Base Period and Four Option Periods
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Kigali, Rwanda
SECURITY CLEARANCE: OPM National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), non-sensitive
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: United States citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and third country nationals are eligible for this position. Citizens and permanent residents of the host country are not eligible under this solicitation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides a broad range of statistical support to the Treatment and Research Center for HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and Other Infectious Diseases (TRAC Plus), the Ministry of Health (MOH), and to CDC Rwanda. Provides assistance to data analysts, research physicians, epidemiologists, behavioral scientists, program managers, and other professional staff collaborating on CDC-supported programs and operational and clinical research projects (including PEPFAR-supported Public Health Evaluations (PHEs) and Basic Program Evaluations (BPEs). Develops and reviews protocols, development of sampling plans, the application of appropriate statistical methods to the analysis of program and research project data, and the implementation of statistical software applications for epidemiological and surveillance activities for HIV/AIDS and related diseases. Provides statistical expertise and computer programming support for program evaluation and research projects conducted by TRAC Plus, MOH and CDC/PEPFAR Rwanda.
