Reported drug overdose deaths in the U.S. have increased since the 1980s. Two approaches (911 Good Samaritan laws and expansion of overdose prevention training) represent a nonjudgmental and sensible solution to reduce drug related harms, and it serves as an effort to reduce unnecessary loss of human lives.
