Drexel LibrariesThe Hahnemann Library at the Center City Campus includes reference materials, public catalogs, open stacks with more than 97,000 volumes and journals, a reading room for recent periodicals, group-study rooms, individual-study carrels, and a 24-hour study lounge area. The library also makes available the Microcomputer Center for School of Public Health students, with an audiovisual and microcomputer learning laboratory. Students may use the University's computer network to search library catalogs and reference databases and to use electronic mail and the Internet. Library staff members are available to provide reference, instruction, assistance, computer literature searches, and other services as needed. Students also have access to the University's W.W. Hagerty Library, the main library of Drexel University, located on the main campus at 33rd and Market Streets. A University shuttle connects the Hahnemann Center City Campus with Drexel's main campus and runs every half hour. The Hagerty Library holds 378,000 volumes (219,000 titles), and receives 370 print journals. Students may also use the Learning Resources Center at the Queen Lane Campus in East Falls. (Holdings of the former Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute Library are now available at the Hahnemann Library). In addition, all Drexel libraries are connected via computer to other area academic libraries. |
