Drexel addresses the five core areas of public health – biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health sciences, health services administration and social and behavioral sciences – through four departments. In addition, research centers give faculty members and students the opportunity to target research on specific areas of public health practice that meet students’ unique strengths and interests.

Epidemiology and Biostatistics - Our mission is to apply, develop, and teach approaches to understanding the distribution and determinants of disease and generate knowledge that can be used to improve public health. The epidemiology program focuses on descriptive and analytic approaches used to understand the complex causes of major public health problems and to develop effective strategies to prevent them.
