The Philadelphia Science Festival is a ten-day, community-wide celebration of science that takes place annually in April, featuring lectures, debates, hands-on activities, special exhibitions and a variety of other informal science education experiences for Philadelphians of all ages.
Drexel University School of Public Health will be represented at the festival by two faculty who are speaking:

Learn about the history of public health in Philadelphia and why these issues are important with two Inquirer bloggers and other public health experts. Scientists and policy-makers have struggled to define these terms, often framing the issues as matters of public health. Discover the lively history of good medicine going to the streets, from Prohibition in the ’20s to an unprecedented rise in prescription drug abuse and insurance fraud today. The program will explore popular culture, examining how drugs are portrayed in music, film, and television once they have become illegal.
