Student Life

The School of Public Health currently enrolls over 300 students from 34 states and 8 countries. In addition to our geographic diversity, students at the School of Public Health range from age 21 to 75 years-old with the average age being 28, and 44% of our students are from under-represented minority groups.

Drexel Public Health students have the opportunity to participate in numerous extra-curricular activities such as Student Government, the Graduate Student Association, intramural and clubs sports teams and organizations for international students.

In addition, our location in Center City Philadelphia allows Drexel SPH students to become active members in the community. Drexel SPH students host the "Love Your Health" Fair in Philadelphia’s Love Park during National Public Health week and participate in other community events such as the Philadelphia Hunger Walk.

Our students can also take advantage of the resources available on the Drexel Main Campus such as the Hagerty Library, Daskalakis Athletic Center (DAC) and other special events. Because there is no fitness center located on the Center City Campus, all public health students receive a free membership to Sweat Fitness at 15th and Arch Streets in addition to free use of the DAC. A free shuttle service to Main Campus operates every 15-30 minutes from 5:45 am until 11:30 pm.
