Dr. Kersten, Medical Director of GROW Clinic, enjoys a moment with a recent GROW graduate.

The GROW Clinic is a multidisciplinary team-based clinic at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children that focuses on young children with 'failure to thrive' and their families.  Families whose children are identified as underweight are referred to The GROW Clinic, where a multidisciplinary team provides a comprehensive plan to improve nutrition and promote growth for the child and family.

The GROW Clinic at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is modeled on the GROW Clinic run by Dr. Deborah A. Frank at Boston Medical Center.  The team includes a pediatrician, nurse practitioner, nutritionist, psychologist, and social worker.

The GROW Clinic began seeing patients in March 2005.  Now, over 300 young patients are being cared for by the GROW Clinic team in partnership with the children's parents and caregivers.
