Dr. Deborah A. Frank, Director of the Grow Clinic for Children at Boston Medical Center; and Principal Investigator of the Children's Sentinel Nutrition Assessment Program (C-SNAP), gave testimony on March 5th before the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions - Subcommittee on Children and Families, chaired by Senator Christopher Dodd. Dr. Frank made the case, based on C-SNAP research, that LIHEAP (the Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a child survival program, a child health program, a child nutrition program, and a child development program.
