National plans to end hunger
US Action Plan on Food Security
This plan for addressing hunger was distributed by the USDA in 1999. It is a joint effort of the sub-Cabinet level Interagency Working Group on Food Security (IWG) and the non-governmental Food Security Advisory Committee (FSAC), a subcommittee of the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development.
It addresses domestic and national food security in seven different areas, including
sustainable food systems, research & education, and water safety.
A Blueprint to End Hunger
This
"working document" is based on the principles outlined in the Millennium
Declaration to End Hunger in America in 2003. It was developed by the
National Anti-Hunger Organizations (NAHO) which include Bread for the
World, America’s Second Harvest, and the Food Research and Action

Philabundance
Philabundance works to end hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley by rescuing surplus food and distributing it to local organizations serving people in need. They have developed specific programs to address the nutritional needs of vulnerable populations, particularly children and seniors.
