CNN Blog Features SPH Center for NonviolenceOfficials at the Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice at the Drexel University School of Public Health are leading online discussions about trauma, violence and guns at the CNN blog site Anderson Cooper 360º. Sandra Bloom, MD, Linda Rich, MA, Theodore J. Corbin, MD, and John A. Rich, MD, MPH, are responding to posts on a page title "Contagious Violence and the 'Walking Wounded.'" The Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice will focus on trauma as a public health issue. It is supported by grants from The Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation and California Endowment. The center will provide training and technical assistance for emergency department clinicians and intervention staff that deal with cases of trauma on an emergency basis. The grants will be used to establish the center’s training, technical assistance and leadership development components.
