MLA Public Health Forum

Description: This program serves as a primer to current public health issues as well as the resources best suited to meet the information needs of health professionals. The day-long event will include three interactive sessions where participants will learn from health professionals and a public health librarian working in the field.

Who should attend: Librarians; staff of public health facilities; any and all interested in public health issues.

· "Mental Health Services," Trevor Hadley, PhD: Director, Center for Mental Health Policy & Services Research, Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry, University of Pennsylvania

· "The Information Professional as Public Health Partner," Kristine Alpi, MLS, MPH, AHIP: Library Manager for the Public Health Library of the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, Department of Public Health - New York City

Fee: $100 for MLA/SLA/PALINET members; $130 for non-members; $65 for students
