Arthur Frank, M.D., Ph.D., Professor in the SPH Dept. of Environmental and Occupational Health, was featured in the June 5 edition of the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz, in a key article about the high rates of mesothelioma in areas of the country. Dr. Frank was in Israel lecturing at a related international conference, and "called upon the Israeli health and environment authorities immediately to undertake a campaign to clean up the large amounts of asbestos dispersed at different sites in Nahariya," the Western Galilee city that is the former site of a large asbestos factory.
