Barbara Bungy '06 Leads Panel on AIDS Research
Barbara Bungy '06, MPH, participated in the U.S. Conference on AIDS in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, from September 18 – 21, 2008. Her research was selected for a roundtable discussion at the conference.
The topic of the discussion was "HIV Testing and Outreach in Homeless Shelters." The discussion promoted advocacy, awareness and access for HIV testing. It also focused on the dynamics and implementation of a comprehensive HIV testing and counseling program for the homeless population in Philadelphia.
Bungy will also present a poster presentation on this topic at the Pennsylvania Public Health Association Conference on November 17, 2008.
