Kathleen Watson, M.A., Ed.M, is a mental-health therapist who specializes in health behavior change (substance abuse, weight-loss, relationship-violence, etc.). Although her background is in individual and group interventions, Kathleen comes to the doctoral program in Health Policy and Social Justice because of her interest in the health disparities that exist (especially related to food access and obesity) due to institutionalized racism in the United States. Kathleen believes that it is imperative that an anti-racist narrative be a part of the fight for health justice.
