There are many opportunities for faculty to pursue special research, training and education at the School of Public Health. The location of the School in center city next to both the College of Nursing and Health Professions & the College of Medicine allows for many partnerships and shared research endeavors. In addition, the School is located in Philadelphia, the sixth largest city in the United States. This allows for extensive outreach for community-based research activities and neighborhood health partnerships.
Announcements within the School of Public Health, the University and other resources in the Philadelphia area encourage staff and faculty to attend conferences, lectures and symposiums in the city and throughout the state and the nation. |
Information is regularly disseminated via emails and posters, and “brown bag” lunches are held to inform the school about relevant topics such as NIH submissions and funding opportunities to help aid and support these endeavors.
