Epidemiology and Biostatistics Department
The Epidemiology and Biostatistics Department applies, develops, and teaches approaches to understanding the distribution and determinants of disease and generate knowledge that can be used to improve public health.
Epidemiology programs focus on descriptive and analytic approaches used to understand the complex causes of major public health problems and to develop effective strategies to prevent them.
Biostatistics programs focuses on the development and application of theory and methods in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data used in public health and other biomedical sciences.

Community Health and Prevention Department
The Community Health and Prevention Department promotes the health of communities through education, research, service and advocacy focused on the societal conditions required for people to be healthy.
The department's long-term partnerships with communities and organizations are based on respect for community values, strengths, and assets. Central to this goal is the understanding of the relationship between human rights, dignity, and health status.

Health Management and Policy Department
The Health Management and Policy Department develops and supports highly qualified and appropriately-trained public health leaders to assume management and policy roles to support population and community health improvement.
The Department focuses on leadership for the planning, implementation and operation of systemic, effective and community responsive programs and organizations, as well as organizational and policy interventions requiring management, organization, finance, advocacy, political action, and public policy analysis skills.

Environmental and Occupational Health Department
The Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) Department has a mission to prevent adverse health effects related to environmental and occupational exposures through research, education and service. Department activities and programs are grounded in the School’s focus on communities, social justice, and human rights.
The central theme of EOH is prevention, focusing on initiatives which will measurably decrease the burden of environmental and occupational health effects.
