Application Requirements for Masters, Undergraduate, Doctoral, & Certificate Programs

Undergraduate Programs Application Requirements

Master's Programs Application Requirements

Standardized test scores (GRE) are not required. However, you may choose to submit scores to strengthen your application. Learn more.

In general, MPH and MS degree applicants will need to submit the following:

  • Online application
  • Official transcripts from EVERY college-level institution you attended (academic records from institutions outside the U.S. must undergo a credentials evaluation).
  • English proficiency test score (TOEFL or IELTS), if applicable. Learn more about TOEFL and IELTS language requirements.
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Statement of Purpose and Objectives

On-Campus Master's Programs: Applicants to all on-campus MPH and MS programs should submit their application and materials through SOPHAS – the Centralized Application Service for Public Health:

Doctoral Degrees Application Requirements

In general, doctoral degree applicants will need to submit the following:

  • Online application
  • Official transcripts from EVERY college-level institution you attended (academic records from institutions outside the U.S. must undergo a credentials evaluation).
  • Standardized test score (GRE most universally accepted) (Exceptions apply: Review your degree's Admissions tab.) 
  • English proficiency test score (TOEFL or IELTS), if applicable
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Statement of Purpose and Objectives
