CPHRC Submits Report to PA Dept of Health

The CPHRC has submitted its final report on statewide readiness assessment to the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Office of Public Health Preparedness. The report, originally commissioned by the PDH in 2007, is the result of a year-long survey of Pennsylvanian hospitals and other health and emergency-response organizations.
General conclusions include: 1) the need for continuously updated data collection; 2) strengthen collaboration between state and local groups; 3) increase mobile "hospital unit" capacity; 4) emphasis on training and coordination in and among response groups; 5) increase budgeting for related exercises and drills.
