The Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication at Drexel University's School of Public Health welcomes you to its official website.

The mission of Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication (CPHRC) is to enhance and improve the readiness of the public health community to deal with issues such as the current spread of the swine flu virus.

The CPHRC works with community, regional, and national partners to provide evaluation and analysis of preparedness performance goals and metrics.  The CPHRC also directs educational projects and research efforts in the field of disaster preparedness and communication strategies and is interested in the development of risk communication strategies for special need populations.

Cummings outlines, in his newly-published book, "Strengthening National Public Health Preparedness and Response to Chemical, Biological and Radiological Agent Threats," how a coordinated public health response to a terrorist attack should be a high priority for all countries.

National Public Health Week: April 2- 8 2007

This year's National Public Health Week is focusing on Preparedness and Public Health Threats and Addressing the Unique Needs of the Nation's Vulnerable Populations. The American Public Health Association  (APHA) will play a key role in the week's events.
