The Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication at Drexel University's School of Public Health welcomes you to its official website.

The mission of Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication (CPHRC) is to enhance and improve the readiness of the public health community to deal with issues such as the current spread of the swine flu virus.

The CPHRC works with community, regional, and national partners to provide evaluation and analysis of preparedness performance goals and metrics.  The CPHRC also directs educational projects and research efforts in the field of disaster preparedness and communication strategies and is interested in the development of risk communication strategies for special need populations.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Announces $445 Million to Secure Critical Infrastructure

On January 9, 2007, the Office of the Press Secretary released the fiscal year 2007 grant guidance and application kits for five grant programs totaling about $445 million in funding for state, local and private industry protection initiatives.

The CPHRC Gets 200K to Assess Statewide Readiness

The Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication has been awarded $200,000 to assess emergency readiness for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
